  • Designing for unattended (unmanned / uncrewed) or low personnel platforms requires considering the entire project life. Modern offshore facilities are highly interconnected and increasingly complex, making it challenging to reduce personnel. However, using a Systems Engineering and Experienced Risk-Based approach can improve efficiency in applying the latest operational methods to achieve notable cost savings while maintaining safety and reliability.

  • Successful projects start with clear goals. Having seasoned Operations staff who understand large offshore facilities is crucial. Projects also require Operations personnel who are familiar with the challenges of big undertakings and have experience in Pre-FEED, FEED, and Detailed Design. Finding individuals with expertise in both asset operation and major projects can be difficult. Our team has extensive experience in both areas.

    We can handle all aspects of Operational Readiness for early-stage projects, including input on design, safety studies (HAZID, HAZOP), developing the O&M Philosophy, isolation plans, operations management plans, operating modes assessments, OPEX development, and contributing to RAM studies (assumptions and real-world validation).

  • A Complexity Assessment helps identify ways to simplify your design through objective analysis. It can optimise specific systems (such as the gas train or seawater cooling), or the overall process design. By applying known industry complexity processes tailored to your operational approach, you can make important design decisions. For assets in the operational phase that require significant change, a Complexity Assessment can help reduce complexity, cut costs, and increase uptime.

  • When handling a complex asset sale or purchase, commercial teams can gain from independent operational advice. Key focus areas include evaluating potential Operating cost-saving opportunities, understanding operational risks, and assessing the current operational culture. We offer assistance in areas like due diligence, valuation support, management presentations, Q&A support and transition aid. Our team has experience supporting commercial teams during major acquisitions and divestments of oil and gas facilities globally.

  • We bridge the gap between Carbon Capture and Underground Storage. While many companies offer capture technologies and operators know their reservoirs, the area between capture and storage poses challenges. We offer solutions for transporting Carbon Dioxide, including direct offshore injection from marine transport.

  • We provide masterclasses designed to address the specific needs of your organisation in crucial aspects related to Unmanned Facilities.
